ThemeDetective.com is a free tool that shows what a website is built with: the content management system (WordPress, Shopify, Joomla and many more), the theme, the plugins or modules, and the hosting behind it.

What we do

Enter a website address and we analyse the publicly visible page, the same code every visitor's browser receives. We never log in to a site and we never access anything that is not public.

Why we built it

Designers, developers and curious site owners often wonder how a great-looking website was made. We collect the answers, rank the most popular themes and plugins, and compare hosting providers, so you can find inspiration and make better decisions.
